Earth Day 2021
Thursday, April 22We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.
Wendell BerryEarth Day is an annual event that aims to showcase support for environmental protection and promote a harmonious relationship with nature. Originally established on April 22, 1970, the celebration has since grown in popularity, with many countries observing it around the time of the March Equinox (usually on March 21 or 22). In 2009, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed April 22 as International Mother Earth Day, to be observed globally each year.
Earth Day offers an excellent opportunity to organize outdoor activities that promote environmentalism, such as litter cleanups and tree planting. It's also an occasion to raise awareness about the negative effects of environmental degradation, including pollution and global warming. Moreover, Earth Day is a chance to promote the significance of pro-ecological endeavors, such as ecologically friendly agriculture and wastewater treatment projects.
